Teens aLIVE Year 1

Theme 4 : The Young Muslim
  • Appreciate major highlights and significance of Adam’s early struggle in life.
  • Realise the love that Allah has for Adam’s descendant which includes all of us.
  • Discover the rich legacy of Islam and the personalities that shaped our Islamic history.
  • Begin to appreciate the power of supplication (doa) as a strength of Muslims.
  • Learn on the last 3 desired characteristics of Young Muslim.
  • Memorisation Surah Al-Infithar (verses 11-13).

Theme 5 : Aim: The Future
  • Learn the concept that meaningful goals are those that are in line with their purpose in life.
  • Learn how to develop goals that are realistic, yet gradually stretch our potentials.
  • Note that life will have its ‘stressors’ and accept the stress as part of our life in living.
  • Learn ways to deal with the disappointments involved in working towards goals.
  • Learn how to turn to Allah as a source of comfort and solace during challenging times.
  • Memorisation Surah Al-Infithar (verses 14-16).

Theme 6 : Seeking Knowledge
  • Recognise the outstanding Muslim Scholars, their educational background and inspirational works.
  • Appreciate, be inspired by them and realise how their works benefit our lives now.
  • Be aware of the First Revelation as a sign that Allah is the source of knowledge.
  • Discover that the Qur’an contains description of nature as what is studied in subjects such as Science and Geography.
  • Know the importance of sharing the knowledge that they have with others and making good use of it.
  • Memorisation Surah Al-Infithar (verses 17-19)

Teens aLIVE Year 2

Theme 4 : Ethics and Morality
  • Look at the existence of order in the natural world.
  • Look at the role of laws to regulate society.
  • Appreciate the importance and influence of ethics and morality in defining values in human society.
  • Look at how the above manifest itself within the norms of our family.
  • Be interested to join the effort to popularise doing good and deterring evil around them.
  • Memorisation Surah ‘Abasa (verses 19-24).

Theme 5 : My Habits
  • See how habits can effect ones character and image.
  • Brainstorm ways in which bad habits can be overcome and replaced by good habits.
  • Identify the ways in which the students would want to make improvements to their lives.
  • Identify the habits of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. in terms of his daily actions, relations with people and piety towards Allah s.w.t.
  • Discuss the importance of emulating those good habits of Prophet in today’s context.
  • Memorisation Surah ‘Abasa (verses 25-33).

Theme 6 : My Personality and Traits
  • Identify the implications of their personality on their emotional stability, relationships and career.
  • Identify important desirable characteristics of a Muslim as mentioned in various verses of the Qur’an.
  • Identify personalities in the past or present, that embody the desirable characteristics mentioned in the Qur’an.
  • Identify the 10 companions who were promised paradise as described in a hadith.
  • Learn of their life stories and contributions and hence the characteristics that made them worthy of Paradise.
  • Memorisation Surah ‘Abasa (verses 34-42).

Teens aLIVE Year 3

Lesson 1 : Young Muslim Singaporeans
  • Discover how young muslims can contribute to the country.
  • Knowing roles as contributively citizens.
  • Knowing more about their lives as Muslims living in Singapore.

Lesson 2 : Young Muslim At School
  • Make students realise their responsibilities as students.
  • Find possible way to reach their goals
  • Aim a positive goal to motivate and eagerly striving in their effort to do well in their studies. 

Lesson 3 : Young Muslims At Home (Parents)
  • Getting to know their parents.
  • How to treat their parents better.
  • Learn good communications with their parents.

Lesson 4 : Young Muslims At Home (Neighbours)
  • Knowing the importance of neighbours.
  • To explore the good and bad habits of neighbours.
  • Learn the importance of negotiable and discussions with neighbours.

Lesson 5 : A Global Society
  • Get to know the 3 holy places in Islam.
  • Introduce significance of Hajj and Umrah.
  • Introduce the Rukun(Pillars) of Hajj and Umrah.

Lesson 6 : Young Muslim & Contemporary Issues
  • Make students realize real issues youths are facing.
  • Explore the causes of the issues and how to avoid it.
  • The effects of social problems on the community.

Lesson 7 : Young Muslim In Multi Cultural Singapore
  • Learn Allah’s wisdom in creating differences among men.
  • Learn about the early Muslims exchanges with other cultures/religion.
  • Learning to adapt with others of a different culture or religion.

Lesson 8 : Young Muslims & The Singapore Muslim Community
  • The function and role of Mosque in the Muslim community.
  • Introduction to Muslim organisations in Singapore and its functions.
  • Introduce students to some Muslim Leaders and their roles.

Teens aLIVE Year 4

Lesson 1 : Islamic Moral Code
  • Reflect on the beauty of Islam in terms of akhlak.
  • Make students proud to be a Muslim.
  • Work together to show to the world on the beauty of Islam.

Lesson 2 : Spread The Word
  • The importance and responsibility of spreading a good word.
  • Thinking and planning is essential in giving out a good word.

Lesson 3 : The Ambassadors
  • The hardships faced by the Prophet and his companions.
  • Overcoming odds as an ambassador.
  • Putting confidence in ourselves.

Lesson 4 : Traits Of The Ambassadors
  • To have confidence in presenting oneself as an ambassador.
  • To equip oneself with the knowledge to be an ambassador.
  • Knowing how Islam was spread in the early days of the Prophethood.

Lesson 5 : Syiar Islam
  • Learn about the real symbols of Islam.
  • Learning more about the religion as an ambassador of Islam.
  • The origin of the prayers.

Lesson 6 : Unity Of The Community
  • The unity of the community as a Syiar of Islam.
  • Discover the way Islam emphasises on the unitedness of its followers.
  • Recognize the trends of the Muslim community.

Lesson 7 : Ambassadors Of Islam
  • To realise duty of a Muslim ambassador.
  • Learn the message and the messenger.

Lesson 8 : The Muslim Ambassador
  • To teach students that conveying good messages require strategies.
  • To tell students the different forms to convey good messages and how they can make use of it.
